Skylar Bug made the Flag Corp at Hiram High School with the Band of Gold. I am so proud of her it isn't even funny! She wasn't so sure she even wanted to try out. I encouraged her to just try, "you will regret it if you don't and you will never know if you liked it or not!" So, now to wait and see if she made the Marching band, if she does make the marching band then she has a big decision to make. Wow! What a great start to 2014 for my Bug. She won Miss Photogenic and 1st Runner up at the Miss Jaguar pageant, she's playing softball again, has a cutie patootie boyfriend (Daniel) and they are going to the 8th Grade Formal together :) She is having a good year so far

Holy Cow!!!

Wow! Look what I discovered today! Totally forgot about my Blog account. How crazy! Well I guess my life is a little more hectic than I thought. So today is Thursday, March 27th, 2014! Yeah, like almost 5 years since my last post. Chase is a Sophmore in HS, Skylar is in 8th grade and Britain just registered for Kidergarten last night! Wow is about all I can say right now after reading my last post!!

Summer Fun

Well, the summer heat has kept us indoors a lot of the time but there are occasions where we jump in the pool, kiddie pool that is. School starts in less than five weeks and I can't wait. It's hard getting anything done around here with three kids, two of which are constantly driving me nuts.

Summer's here

It's been two months since my last post and I can't believe how time fly's when you're having fun. Since my last blog the kids have had their field day, end of the year field trips and awards day. Chase was on the A honor roll for the year and Skylar was on the A B honor roll for the year and they both took home the Perfect Attendance award (and there's a $10 bill attached to it). I can't believe I had a baby and still got them both to school EVERYDAY.

Over Memorial Day weekend I met mom and dad in Clarksville, TN (half way) to give them Chase and Skylar for a few weeks. A few short days later I left Travis' sister Alison with Britain and headed to the Virgin Islands with Travis and two other couples. We had an awesome villa on the island of St. James for six whole days, it was a beautiful place and I can't wait to go back. But back to reality! Once we came home I headed up to Illinois, with an infant in the back seat, for a couple days...and to releave my parents from the two oldest children. Let me tell you, that was the worst 8 hours of my life!! You try to make a 7 month old happy while driving down the highway at 80 miles an hours, not an easy thing to do, trust me.

Well, I've been back home for a week now and trying like crazy to get the kids back on a schedule and all my laundry done but I can say it was a great vacation. It was definitely better than Vegas, but not by much. What can I say, I don't get out much anymore. :)

Oh and Britain turned 8 months old yesterday and I can't believe it has gone by so fast. She has two teeth, sitting up on her own, pulled up in her crib today, eating finger foods and is trying to walk. Before I know it I'll be planning her first birthday party and hoping my folks can come down for it.

6 months old already

I can't believe it has been six months already. On one hand it seems longer than that but on the other time just won't slow down.
She had her six month well check yesterday and has gained nearly 3 pounds since her four month check for a total of 17 pounds and 6 ounces and is now 26 1/4 inches in length.
she received three shots, two in one ham hock and one in the other. She now has a temperature and is very fussy. If I remember correctly, my other two were the same way at their six month check. Those shots just wear them out for a couple days.

As for the rest of the crew, were all still here, Chase is getting ready to finish 5th grade, can't believe my son will be a middle schooler!! Skylar will be heading into the fourth grade next year but you wouldn't know it just by talking to her, you'd think she was already in middle school. Such the Diva!! Travis is getting ready for another round of Flight School to get another certification, this one is for the instruments I believe, whatever! And as for me, I'm living day to day...today I'm doing laundry, cleaning the house, dealing with a very fussy baby with a fever and she scratched my eye last night while we were playing so.....
